Comic Con Chile – Cosplay

When it comes to Comic Con, the cosplayer of Chile DO NOT mess about!!! Only awesomeness here!!

Unintentionally Funny Comic Panals – Archie

I thought I’d like to show off a funny little side to what normally would be serious comics. Most of these come from a time that wasn’t made for our common vernacular and gives the comics a completely different interpretation. To start with I give you Archie!

Sometimes’s you have to do what you have to do!

Man of Steel: The Animated Series

Are you ok, Lex?

I love it when Superman does what I would do if I was a super human! Kill the ‘bad guys’ so they don’t come back with MORE evil plans. Yeah, there’s some moral questions there, but it’s the greater good, right?

Most awesome Gotham City inhabitants cosplay

I just came across this ridiculously awesome cosplay of The Scarecrow and Harley Quinn that you’ll see. Which made me remember all the really awesome cosplayers that I’ve seen over the years that I’ve seen from Gotham Cities Finest. So today I’m posting, what I consider to be all the best ones. The guys and gals really put a lot of effort not only into their costumes, but into the photography to create a better atmosphere than having a Comic-Con going on in the background. So, scroll through down the bottom and check out the awesomeness that is Batman and his Rogue Gallery!

DC’s Month of Villains and Forever Evil

For DC Comics readers, September is going to be ‘Villains Month’!! Each of their usual monthly editions of the ‘New 52’ will be replaced with #1 books about that particular stories main villain. At the moment there’s not a lot of info out there, but DC says that they will release each books villain over the next few days.

The cool thing about this new line of comics is that all the covers will have a 3D cover as you will see The Joker #1 above and Deadshot #1 below.

What we do know is that in the flagship ‘Batman’ title will be ‘The JOKER #1’ which has me really excited as I mentioned in previous posts my love for The Joker also HERE and HERE

Other ‘Batman Rogues’ will be The Penguin, The Riddler and BANE!

In addition to the usual monthly books, DC are debuting a 7-part mini series called ‘Forever Evil’ written by Geoff Johns and art by David Finch. Forever Evil will follow villains from all over DC and will be the first ‘ALL DC’ crossover!

Very exciting times for us villain loving comic readers! I’ll be making updates as I come across them!!

Superman: Man of Steel has finally made me want to see it.

Up until recently I haven’t been too fussed about whether I see ‘Superman: Man of Steel’. However the two trailers from General Zod, peaked my interest and then the trailer below has made me want to actually see it on the big screen.

I know it’s going to end up ‘Superman defeats Gen. Zod and everyone loves him and he did it for Am-ur-ica’, but I believe in Zack Snyder. I believe that he’ll make it look so good, that I wont be too fazed by the story line. Personally I would LOVE to see a Superman movie based on one of my all time favourite comic stories Superman: Red Son written by Mark Miller which the latest DC game Injustice: Gods Among Us is very loosely based on, but that’s just me. I’m not a real fan of the squeaky clean image of Superman. I like him much more a little gritty and edgy.

… and murder-y… and badass…

Anywho, what I’m really looking forward to is Michael Shannon (From Boardwalk Empire fame) as General Zod. He’s a great actor and will bring the calculating intensity to the role that I’m hoping will really be a show stealer! Maybe a little cameo from Lex Luthor would be nice….

Check out the latest trailer below! Leave your comments on what you think about this upcoming movie.
